Fellow gardeners, Fragrant Gardeners Group at the CNIB garden is looking for volunteers to work with us. Located off Memorial Drive, near the Calgary Zoo, this gem of an inner-city garden is a beautiful spot to give back to our community. Composed of 12 garden beds on 1 acre of land, our garden boasts winding pathways among crabapple trees, Saskatoon shrubs, roses, peonies, irises and many other perennials with a variety of plants native to Alberta.
This garden provides great pleasure to the many elderly, disabled and other nearby residents who enjoy walking through the park to take in the seasonal changes. You can be part of this special place.
Come work with us next season. Tuesday and/or Friday mornings. Many of us are Master Gardeners but this is not a requirement. Our Gardeners will guide you on tasks. For Master Gardener students, this is an opportunity for your practicum hours.
