Greengate Chatline

As you may be aware, the Master Gardeners Association of Alberta has operated the Greengate Garden Centre Chatline for the past number of years. This Chatline is operated by volunteers from MGAA and is a major fundraiser for our organization.

For your information, the Chatline is a venue whereby gardeners from across the region text their gardening questions to Greengate to which we respond. As the Chatline is online, you will not be speaking with the person, but merely responding to their questions from the comfort of your home. The shift sign-up is done online as well.

This year we will be operating the Chatline from April 29 to approximately June 4, in two-hour shifts between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm including weekends. In return for your time, you will receive a $250.00 Greengate gift card. As well, this will go towards your volunteer hours.

We would ask that you kindly give this matter your serious consideration and volunteer as your schedule allows. Training will be provided the later part of April and the "Sign-Up Genius" is available now to sign up for shifts.

If you are able to assist us, please email me at the address below so you can be included in further communications.

Your contribution of time, knowledge, and experience to this valuable service in helping our fellow gardeners is very much appreciated.

If you have questions please email Bruce at [email protected]
