MGAA: Starting Reluctant Seed of Wild Plants
February 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$15.00“Many plant species have evolved ways to help their seed germinate at the better times and places in their natural environments, and can seem quite reluctant to behave for us. We will look at the different treatment methods that can convince them to sprout within a reasonable amount of time, with consideration of accomplishing this at our homes in our wintery climate.”
Rob Staniland is a retired Environmental Biologist, who has been rabidly gardening since 1980. Starting with trees, shrubs and native perennials, he became my a founding member of the Calgary Rock and Alpine Gardening Society (CRAGS) in the early ’90s and has focused on those sorts of plants since.
