Covenant Care is a Catholic, not-for-profit, registered charity that provides quality accommodations, health and community care services and programs to aging individuals in need.

They have a small team of avid gardeners who share in the garden chores at the St. Marguerite/ Dulcina Hospice garden. They are looking for someone to lead the team. The time commitment varies based on the needs of the garden and the availability of the group.

A few of the usual tasks include the following:

• Plan and execute the ordering and planting of annual plants in the spring
• Coordinate the team to perform regular maintenance such as weeding, deadheading, pruning and watering of all annuals and perennials throughout the growing season
• Fall cleanup
• Bulb planning and planting

The Garden is enjoyed mostly by the residents in hospice care and their families.  It can be the last time they get to be together outdoors, enjoying all the garden has to offer.

The work the volunteers do, in support of the garden, is GREATLY appreciated and makes a difference to so many.
